The Hologram Mapping Show is a 360° hologram dance show performed by a solo dancer on a circular stage four metres in diameter. The performer appears inside a cylinder of projected imagery that surrounds her on every side, so the act can be watched in the round rather than from a single front-facing angle. The show is produced in Spain and tours with one dancer and a technical crew of two.
Throughout the piece, the dancer appears and disappears within the projected imagery, moving between full visibility and moments where she reads as part of the image itself. Choreography and video are built as one sequence, with the movement following the visual content from beginning to end. The circular volume is outlined in light, and because the projection wraps the full circumference, guests seated on opposite sides of the room see different faces of the same moving picture at the same time.
The format suits gala dinners, corporate events, award ceremonies, product launches and private events where a central stage can be positioned with seating around it. Two conditions determine whether a venue works: the room must be capable of full blackout during the performance, and the audience is best seated on risers, with the highest viewpoint no more than three metres above floor level. The structure is self-contained and can be installed indoors, or outdoors when darkness is sufficient, with one full day of set-up and the crew arriving the day before.
