Canada, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates are the top 10 destinations outside of Asia where Asian meeting planners most want to hold events, according to new research by Reed Travel Exhibitions’ (RTE) China Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM).
RTE Surveyed CIBTM hosted buyers and found that they are planning more meetings this year than last, and are increasingly interested in discovering new destinations outside their region.
“Things are looking very positive for this year with nearly two-thirds of Asian buyers from our survey are reporting an increase in the volume of events they were involved in over the past 12 months and 55 percent expected a growth over the next 12 month,” CIBTM Project Manager Jeffrey Xu said in a statement. “To add to this, 73 percent also predict use of new destinations over the next 12 months, which is a very positive indicator for companies around the globe considering their participation at the show.”
