The Filderhalle Congress and Conference Centre was recently awarded the Green Globe certificate for the fourth time. The Stadthalle Reutlingen, which opened last year, also holds this certification. As a modern business hotel with direct access to Stuttgart Airport and to the Messe Stuttgart trade fair centre / ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart, the Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport & Messe has also earned its certificate.
The airport operator Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH was awarded EMAS certification last year and also received the 2013 Green Controlling Award for its “Fairport Controlling” initiative in the management of its operational sustainability performance. The commitment of these providers to the protection of the environment exemplifies the degree of importance placed on sustainable meetings by the Stuttgart Region as a conference and congress destination. It also underlines the extent of the conviction and success which the scheme is achieving here.
