For a private anniversary celebration at Le Marlow in Monaco, Talents & Productions produced a fully immersive Gatsby dancer show built around a Roaring Twenties theme — three choreographed sets, three costume changes, and a scripted roaming programme that brought guests into the world of the Great Gatsby from the moment they arrived.
Before any choreography began, our male and female dancers circulated among guests in their opening costumes — Art Deco silhouettes, feathered headpieces, pearl accessories and period-accurate tailoring — delivering scripted lines drawn directly from the film. Guests found themselves addressed by characters from the Gatsby universe, pulled into brief exchanges that established the fiction of the evening before the first musical set had even started. The roaming phase was not a warm-up act — it was the opening chapter of a narrative that the full evening would complete.
The production was structured in three distinct acts, each marking a shift in atmosphere and visual identity. Between each choreographed set, the dancers exited to change costume — returning each time in a new colour palette and silhouette that signalled a new chapter in the evening’s arc. The first set established the glamour and optimism of the 1920s. The second intensified the energy, drawing guests onto the floor. The third brought the evening to its peak — a high-energy finale that dissolved the boundary between performers and audience entirely.
The scripted roaming element was woven into all three phases — not just the opening. Between set pieces, our dancers returned to circulating mode, continuing the character interactions in their new costumes, maintaining the fiction of the evening continuously rather than allowing it to collapse between scheduled performances. This structure — roaming character work alternating with choreographed sets — is what distinguished this production from a standard dance show. It was genuinely immersive rather than simply entertaining.
