The Dubai Association Centre (DAC) has won its first major event with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the world’s second-largest association with 240,000 members.
Speaking at Imex 2014, the director of the Dubai Convention and Events Bureau (DCEB), Steen Jakobsen, revealed that the DAC has established its first international association, with approximately 30 other international associations in discussions and 11 in engaged in the registration process.
Jakobsen said: “Dozens of international associations are keen on utilising the opportunities presented by Dubai.
“The DAC is an ideal platform to help spur growth and will act as a springboard for international bodies looking to boost their membership numbers, find new funding opportunities and establish local and regional chapters.”
