This month, Talents & Productions produced a live drone dance show for the launch of the new XUV at Expo Center Lahore, Pakistan — a performance combining 30 choreographed drones with a solo dancer in front of an audience of 600 guests. The brief was precise: use drone choreography and live performance to tell the story of a company’s evolution from manufacturing heritage to technological innovation, culminating in the reveal of the vehicle itself.
The result was one of the most technically and artistically ambitious car launch performances we have produced — a format that redefined what a product reveal can be.
The show opened with sharp, mechanical drone formations — precise geometric patterns reflecting early production processes and the controlled world of manufacturing. At this stage, a solo performer entered the space, echoing the drones with robotic, controlled movements that mirrored the machines above him. Human and technology moved as one disciplined system.
As the performance progressed, both the dancer and the 30 drones transitioned simultaneously into fluid, organic motion — a visual metaphor for the company’s shift from industrial production to creative innovation. The choreography became increasingly expressive: the dancer began to lead, initiating movements that the drone formation followed and amplified in synchronised response. Human emotion and technological precision merged into a single, evolving composition.
In the final sequence, the 30 drones formed a dramatic visual composition above the stage — opening outward in a coordinated reveal movement to expose the new XUV beneath. The transition from formation to reveal was timed to the second, positioning the vehicle’s appearance as the natural conclusion of a narrative arc that had moved from legacy to future. Supporting on-screen visuals ran in parallel throughout, highlighting the car’s design language, technical features and engineering innovation in alignment with each phase of the drone choreography.
A drone dance show is uniquely suited to technology-sector events — and specifically to automotive launches — for several reasons that no other entertainment format can replicate simultaneously.
First, drones are themselves a technology product. When 30 drones move in precise synchronisation above an audience, they communicate the values of engineering excellence, innovation and precision without a single word of copy. The Expo Center Lahore production required precise coordination between our drone artist, the technical production team and the client’s brand and marketing teams. The drone flight paths were choreographed to the musical score and rehearsed in synchronisation with the dancer’s movement sequences. On-screen visuals were timed to correspond with each phase of the drone formation, creating a multi-layered sensory experience across audio, visual and spatial dimensions simultaneously.
For an audience of 600 guests — including media, dealers, partners and VIP guests — the performance delivered the scale of impact that a major vehicle launch demands while maintaining the narrative precision that a brand story requires. The XUV reveal was not a moment added to the event — it was the event’s culmination, earned through four minutes of carefully constructed storytelling.
