Event organisers, industry suppliers and organisations from around the country have just eight weeks left to plan their entries and submit their events and products for the Australian Events Awards in a bid to be nationally recognised for their achievements between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014.

The Australian Event Awards is the only opportunity for Australian events and event organisers to be acknowledged on a level playing field, across the entire national events industry regardless of event size, type, location or association membership.

This year, organisers have refined the eligibility requirements and judging criteria to make the entry process simpler and the playing field fair for Australian events. These changes include:

1. The Entertainer of the Year category has been replaced by “Best Achievement in Entertainment” to focus on the achievements of the entertainer or act and no longer requires a performance by the finalists.
