The first quarter of 2014 is almost over, and it’s been a busy one for hotel openings. Here are just a few notable properties that have opened around the world from international brands like Marriott, Hilton, Starwood and InterContinental, as well as an independent hotel in Beijing.
Marriott
Marriott has seen some strong activity around the world: The company opened the Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel, the first property for the brand in Osaka and the fourth in Japan. The hotel’s 360 rooms (each an average of 409 square feet) are located on the 38th to 55th floors, and include six suites and 33 premium rooms. The executive floor rooms have a dedicated executive lounge, the largest of its kind in Japan, that offers light refreshments and snacks.
Good to know: The hotel’s meeting room facilities are all Wi-Fi enabled. There is one large meeting room (2,475 square feet) and six small meeting rooms (344 square feet) that can host smaller gatherings.
