Event combines more than 100 conferences into a 260,000 sqm extravaganza
The upcoming Health Industry Summit (tHIS) in Shanghai is predicted to be the world’s largest integrated health event, held from May 15 to 18 2015 at the National Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Organised by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, a joint venture with Sinopharm, China‘s largest state-owned pharmaceutical group, the programme will combine 100 conferences into a 260,000 sqm event that includes CMEF, PHARMCHINA, and API CHINA.
Topics covered at the integrated conference include the likes of policies and investment, R&D, manufacturing and distribution, professional education and hospital applications. It is estimated that more than 6,000 exhibitors, 150,000 professionals, and leading academics from 140 countries and regions will be in attendance.
The event comes as estimates predict China’s health sector to grow into a US$1.2 trillion industry by 2020. Health accounts for around 5 per cent of China’s GDP at present.
