A unique event in France: a battle of flowers on the water…
A fleet of pointus (fishing boats typical of southern France) decked with locally grown flowers (carnations, mimosa…) forming a variety of motifs parade in Port de la Santé in Villefranche-sur-Mer to the delight of the crowds gathered around the harbour. The sailors file past the public and along the wharves, throwing flowers among the spectators.
