Taylor’s University study validates perception of business travellers
A FOLLOW-up study by Taylor’s University has found that Malaysia has successfully maintained a positive reputation as a desirable MICE destination among business travellers.
The study was a collaboration between Taylor’s University’s research arm, Centre for Research Innovation in Tourism, Hospitality and Food Studies (CRiT), and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre).
Titled “Micro Impacts And Benefits Of Business Tourism In Malaysia: A Case Study Of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre”, the study by CRiT covered a sample size of 1,584 foreign and local participants attending conferences at the Centre. The delegates, comprising 70% foreign delegates in 2011 and 83.9% foreign delegates in 2012, were from 278 cities and 83 countries around the world.
