Firework displays on the Cote d’Azur!

Cannes, Antibes and Monaco demonstrate amazing creativity in big firework displays set to music. Lighting up the bays along the French Riviera, they attract over 200,000 spectators!

The tradition for firework displays remains extremely popular among residents and tourists alike; they flock to the beaches for half an hour of breathtaking beauty on a dozen evenings throughout the months of July and August.

Festival international d’art pyrotechnique – Cannes (9, 14, 21, 29 July – 7, 15 & 24 August 2014)

Major fireworks competition during which the participants present entire shows. As far as fireworks are concerned, Cannes blazed the trail. As early as 1967, the town went much further than the traditional firework display: it organised a huge pyromusical contest of fireworks set to music.
