About three years ago event planners and event professionals were still looking for traditional entertainment. Our event entertainment agency was regularly asked for circus acts, magicians and illusionists, dancers and cabaret shows.
Nowadays, things have changed. The world is about technology and digital. All products sold have in common an important part of technology. Today, marketing gurus and advisors ask event organizers to mainly focus on the technology part of the product they are launching. Logically, event companies are then asking entertainment agencies to come up with some digital and technology entertainment ideas.
Presently, we are mainly asked for digital dancers, mapping shows, ipad magicians, lighting and LED dancers, Pixel Poi jugglers, … All artists and performers create shows using the same technique in order to please this new and unique demand. We even see music bands that add LED lights to their costumes to match event companies requirements.
About twenty years ago, we had discovered the laser show presented by the Laserman. It was certainly the only performer at that time that was able to include a touch of future and technology in his show. Now this act is almost part of the past as we are entering in a new entertainment era where artists have left their role to robots and machines.
Drones shows with or without lights are the new event entertainment trend. First they were possible to be realized only outside guided by a GPS signal. Today, these drones shows have made it to indoor venues. More and more sophisticated, drones create the illusion. They are viewed as performers and entertainers. Possibilities are huge as we are making some better and stronger ones each year.
We are betting that the entertainment future is yet to come with better drones shows and industrial robots. As these robots will become cheaper, it will be easier to use them to include them in some sort of shows. Also, holograms will be wiser used and some new technology will certainly arise.
