The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has reported a 29 percent year-on-year increase in banqueting revenue in 2013 compared to 2012.
The substantial hike in big event business is a result of The Ritz-Carlton’s top service, facilities and unique location, according to Director of Sales and Marketing Rania J Keedy.
“We are the only hotel located in the heart of DIFC, which, as well as being the city’s financial centre, has also become a lifestyle hub within Dubai, thanks to its internationally renowned restaurants and art galleries,” she explained.
“As a result, we are not only attracting increased business from corporate groups, but also lifestyle brands, keen to hold their events in and around the sought-after location of DIFC.”
The hotel’s weddings business has also increased significantly, with a large number of Emirati weddings taking place due to the size of the Samaya Ballroom which boasts a capacity of 900 for a banquet and 1,300 for a reception, in addition to the privacy provided by its private entrance and spacious pre-function area.
