Festive celebrations for businesses in London have taken off this winter, with a 45% increase in Christmas party bookings compared to 2012.
The poll was carried out by the London City Selection, which is a group of the capital’s most acclaimed venues including The Barbican, Searcy’s at The Gherkin and the Museum of London.
The survey revealed that 2013 as a whole was a successful year for events in the city of London with 75% of the participating venues reporting an increase in bookings.
The survey also found that short lead times for events have become increasingly more common, with 60% of the venues reporting a decrease in lead times when compared to the previous year.
London City Selection chair Diane Waldron said: “The shorter lead times continue to be a feature, meaning that as venues we must be more responsive and flexible to deal with a very fast-moving events market.”
