King opens Mara’ee

His Majesty King Hamad opened a major animal festival last night.

Present at the launch ceremony of the third Bahrain International Animal Production Show (Mara’ee 2014) was His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

The launch ceremony was originally a VIP-only event, but so many people showed up without invitations that the doors were thrown open to the public.

His Majesty was welcomed on arrival at Bahrain International Endurance Village, Sakhir, by Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister and head of the organising committee Dr Juma Al Ka’abi and senior officials.

The ceremony was also attended by Ruling Family members, ministers, senior officials and diplomats.
