Incentive Destinations: Reunion

Located in the Indian Ocean, southwest of Mauritius and east of Madagascar. Reunion is one of France’s 5 overseas regions with representation in the French National Assembly. it is also one of 7 island clusters in the Indian Ocean forming the Vanilla Islands destination alliance (Mauritius, Maldives, Madagascar, Mayotte, Reunion, Comoros and Seychelles).

This 2,500 square-kilomaeter island of stark contrasts has a tropical climate and terrain ranging from arid savannahs to rocky coastlines with towering cliffs to humid rainforests to vast organic coffee estates.

The highest point is Piton des Neiges, a dormant volcano. Other pitons include Piton d’Anchaing and Piton de la Fournaise, an active volcano.
