Meetings technology company Cvent has released its second annual list of the top 100 hotels for meetings in the United States, it announced yesterday.
Based on activity on the Cvent Supplier Network, the company’s online marketplace of meeting venues, the list includes numerous independent properties, but is dominated by the nation’s three largest hotel groups — Marriott, which has 19 properties on the list; Hyatt, which has 18 properties on the list; and Hilton, which has 17 properties on the list.
All told, the list includes venues from 17 states and the District of Columbia. As it did last year, Florida has the most hotels on this year’s list, although its lead over other states has narrowed; this year, 15 hotels are in Florida, compared to 19 last year. Likewise, Nevada and Texas have gone from 14 and 13 properties, respectively, to 11 and 12 properties. California now has the second largest number of hotels on the list, with 13, followed by Illinois, with nine.
