We hear that this fall’s CIBTM, which is set to take place from September 2 – 4 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing, may be the largest edition of the show to date.
Hosted Buyer applications have doubled, (compared to this time last year) as many top level meetings buyers with proven purchasing power sign up to place their business with both regional and international participating exhibitors.
CIBTM has also witnessed a notable increase in the amount of Corporate and Association Trade Visitors who have signed up to attend the show. Jeffrey Xu, CIBTM Project Manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions said that the majority of the exhibitors want to meet with associations and corporates, “as this is where a lot of the big business in the meetings industry lies.
“The quality of trade visitor registrations this year has been very promising, and we are delighted to see such a rise in the the number of Associations and Corporates. We have meetings industry professionals attending from companies including China Society for World Trade Organization, the Chinese Medical Association, CCPIT and the Medical and Health Care Association.”
CIBTM has also signed up a number of major Chinese outbound international destinations to exhibit at the show this year including USA, Canada, Italy, Munich, Madrid, Brussels, Switzerland, Vienna, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Macau, New Zealand, and Australia.
