Our entertainment company do not very often go to UK despite our numerous talents based in London. This time we were in London and more precisely at ExCeL London. ExCeL London, the international exhibition and convention centre, is the host venue for a variety of events from award winning exhibitions and conferences to international association meetings, product launches, banquets, award ceremonies, sporting events and great days out. For this high tech congress, we brought some green with our marvelous walk around act: PLANT MEN. This green guys can be defined as everyone’s buddy. Everybody just want to hug them and take a picture with them. They have been traveling with us around the world from Hong-Kong to Paris and now it was time for us to show them in London!

A busy Festival of Speed has helped put The Event Business on the right track for a successful year, after turning over £10 million in 2013/14. The Oxfordshire-based agency delivered stands for Jaguar and Land Rover, as well as new clients Michelin and Leaseplan Go, at the four-day Goodwood event. And its recent wins, along with a newly-signed contract with Jaguar Land Rover to deliver UK marketing events for both brands, have helped take The Event Business up a gear in its 20th year in operation. The Meetings Show will run this week in London from July 8 to 10 at the Olympia Conference Centre. The city’s tourism board, London & Partners, will be on-hand, and will also be promoting some notable new event venues that have recently opened or are due to debut in the coming months. At the Roundhouse in Camden, a rooftop garden complete with trees, sun loungers, sofas and even a swimming pool will welcome guests throughout July and August. The venue has space for 120 people overlooking the venue’s popular ‘Camden Beach’ and views out across the London skyline, and is a good pick for summer parties and events. The Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone is now available for room reservations. The historic building has been recently restored with 26 bedrooms that have 270 degree views of Marylebone and the city beyond. Little information has been released about the venue and bookings can only be made by email or phone. Near Barbican, The Brewery has turned the venue’s 18th century cobbled courtyard into a secret garden in the City of London neighborhood. Members of Unique Venues of London’s portfolio has spent a total of £43m in refurbishments to its event spaces during the first six months of 2014. The total figure is split between six of Unique Venues of London’s 81 sites including Freemason’s Hall, the Foundling Museum, LSO St Luke’s, Gibson Hall, London Museum of Water & Steam, and IWM London. Moya Maxwell, chairman of Unique Venues of London, said: “2014 is a special year for Unique Venues of London, as we celebrate our 21st anniversary and launch new branding to represent the consortium’s development.
