IT&CM China Returns in 2014 With Strong Business Generation

According to a 2011 Global Meetings Procurement Agency HelmsBriscoe report, the value of China’s conference and events industry was estimated at $150 billion, with tens of millions of conferences held every year. The Chinese MICE industry itself is increasing at 20 percent annually. CIBTM 2013 May Be Biggest Show to Date

We hear that this fall’s CIBTM, which is set to take place from September 2 – 4 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) in Beijing, may be the largest edition of the show to date.   Hosted Buyer applications have doubled, (compared to this time last year) as many top level meetings buyers with proven purchasing power sign up to place their business with both regional and international participating exhibitors.   CIBTM has also witnessed a notable increase in the amount of Corporate and Association Trade Visitors who have signed up to attend the show. Jeffrey Xu, CIBTM Project Manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions said that the majority of the exhibitors want to meet with associations and corporates, “as this is where a lot of the big business in the meetings industry lies.   “The quality of trade visitor registrations this year has been very promising, and we are delighted to see such a rise in the the number of Associations and Corporates.
