We just came back from Shanghai, China where we brought entertainment for an international  music festival.   This music festival is China’s first and biggest international electronic dance music festival happening annually in Shanghai. This year the festival brought: Afrojack, Axwell & Ingrosso, Dash Berlin, Knife Party, Kaskade, T-E-E-D, What So Not, and fistful of other top 100 DJs in one same place during 2 days.   For this incredible international event in Shanghai, we sent out 3 of our WALKING EYES. These giant puppets are ideal for any large crowds street festivals. We had to send by cargo all the material to China but everything has been well coordinated and the event was a huge success.

China conference to bring 4,500 to Sydney

Mega incentive expected to reap US$20m for state economy   Beijing-based health and skincare direct selling company Pro-Health China has chosen Sydney for its 2014 Annual Conference. Around 4,500 delegates are expected to gather in the New South Wales’ capital for a five-day incentive and training event pegged for the second half of the year.   “Sydney is a dynamic city with many attractions that will give our distributors quite a unique travel experience,” says Pro-Health China president Jason Li.   He adds that he is looking forward to working with Business Events Sydney over the next year to ensure that the company’s high achievers enjoy a rewarding and authentic Australian experience.   While the itinerary has yet to be confirmed, the large-scale incentive is estimated to bring US$20 million in business to New South Wales. It also comes as Sydney works to offset concerns over the relocation of big events to an interim facility at Glebe Island while Darling Harbour convention facilities are redeveloped.   Read more: http://www.cei.asia

What Do Chinese Meeting Planners Want?

The results of the first Chinese Meeting Planners Site Selection Survey were shared by Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Events Management, University of Greenwich, London at CIBTM 2013 in Beijing earlier this fall.   The seminar presentation was based on the findings generated from an online survey that looked into the priorities and experiences of meeting planners based in China, in terms of the process of choosing destinations and venues for their events.   Key to the findings of the research was the revelation that 35 percent of Chinese meeting planners experienced difficulty in getting information about destinations outside China; and 47 percent experienced difficulty in finding out about venues outside China.   Read more: http://www.internationalmeetingsreview.com

Back for its 3rd successful run, SBEW which began on 14 April has culminated in the opening of IT&CM China – the leading international MICE event in China. This seventh installment of IT&CM China sees 3,000 MICE professionals from sectors including DMCs, PCOs, corporate travel and associations, congregate to explore business, education and networking opportunities over the next 3 days.
