3rd edition of Kerala Carnival sees an audience of about 10,000

The natives of Kerala were given a reason to celebrate as the Kerala Carnival returned to Angamally, Cochin for its 3rd edition. The annual event is a property of Carnival Media and was started mainly to bring the society together. About 10,000 natives gathered at the St. Joseph’s School Ground to participate in the festivities. Dalda came on board as the main sponsor, accompanied by 93.5 RED FM as the radio partner, and Metro Vartha as the media partner. These sponsors received outdoor publicity and branding at the venue. The 2013 edition received the support of Incredible India. The inauguration was done by Chief Guest of the evening, Malayalam cinema artist Mohanlal, actor Dileep and Shrikant Bhasi, Chairman of Carnival Group. Apart from the festivities of the day like fun games for children, stalls and food counters, a musical concert was staged by artists like Vijay Yeshudas, Gayathri Manjari, Ramya, Naresh Iyer and Job Kurian, and a dance performance was put up by the Fictitious dance group. Performances open 2013 Ha Long Carnival

The 2013 Ha Long Carnival opened on April 27 with an arts performance in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh’s Ha Long City which was attended by local and regional leaders, as well as thousands of visitors.   This year’s theme is “The Colours of Quang Ninh – Convergence and Continuation”, featuring the traditional ethnic minority cultures.   The Dao ethnic group from Bang Ca Commune, Hoanh Bo District, performed folk dances at the carnival’s opening ceremony to ask the gods for fine weather, good health and a prosperous, fortunate life.   Scenic landscapes were also conjured through each song sung by famous local singers Ho Quynh Huong, Hoang Tung, Tan Nhan, and Ha Hoai Thu.   In addition to the opening ceremony, the carnival includes stage performances and a parade which attracted nearly 5,000 amateur and professional actors and actresses, as well as a number of art troupes from China, the Republic of Korea and Laos.   Source: http://english.vietnamnet.vn
