The French Riviera is and remain as “the place to be” during the summer.   Starting in April with the usual tennis championship in Monte-Carlo called the «Monte-Carlo Masters», the summer season really ends at the beginning of October.   May is always the busiest month as several worldwide events are being held on the French Riviera. Among others, you will have the Cannes movie festival (Festival du film de Cannes) and the Monte-Carlo Formula One race (Grand prix de Formule 1 de Monaco).   Many events are also held on the French Riviera by privates as well as companies. A large numbers villas are now transformed into venues to welcome weddings, product launches, birthdays, anniversaries and others.   Since then, there are more and more planning event companies, wedding planners or DMC (destination management companies) that settle their offices in Cannes, Monaco, Nice or St Tropez to welcome customers from around the world.   By Alexandre Hourdequin
