Tourism Australia outlined how it is utilising news-style content and social media to better tell the brand story of Australia, at the Mumbrella360 conference.
TA’s chief marketing officer (CMO), Nick Baker, told the conference that the tourism board was also considering how virtual reality could be used to better share Australian travel insights with the rest of the world, CMO.com reported.
Mr Baker said that Tourism Australia’s new website has a newsroom structure which will allow content to be better coordinated with social media and will use “big data” to crowdsource ideas for content.
