The Shangri-La at The Shard is among C&IT’s top five most anticipated hotel openings in London in 2014.
Arguably one of the most eagerly awaited hotel openings in London, Shangri-La at The Shard has been beset with delays – it was originally slated to open in time for the London 2012 Olympics. However, 2014 looks like it will be the year it finally opens and excitement once again is hotting up. The hotel occupies no less than 18 floors of The Shard with its 202 guestrooms and 17 luxury suites, each with uninterrupted views of the London skyline. Conference facilities are also available for hire. Although a date in the calendar is yet to be circled, hopes are high for a 2014 opening.

The property will include 359 bedrooms and more then 500 square metres of event space. This includes a 56-seat private screening room as well as seven fully wired Junket rooms. A restaurant overlooking the river, as well as a rooftop bar, will give guests a spectacular view of Westminster and the Thames.
