Is comedy entertainment working on events?

We have to admit, most of the times, our clients such as event planning agencies and event organizers are asking for sensational acts. They are looking for the kind of entertainment that will thrill their guests and astonish the audience.

It is true that the impact is mostly guarantee when you are dealing with artists that show their force. With an excellent music and a good light any artist who shows some excellent acrobatic skills will pass on the emotion to your guests.

We tend to forget that events are made to have a good time. Events are planned to enjoy a true and exceptional moment. In other words to party and celebrate whatever the reason is: a wedding, a product launch, a birthday, or a corporate event.
So, why are event planners always looking for emotional acts instead of comedy acts?

Of course, humor can be different from one country to another. We have different cultures and do not always perceive things the same way. There is also an important language barrier. For example, it would be difficult to see an American stand-up comedy show in China! But what about all these great visual acts?

When you look at characters such as Charlie Chaplin or even Laurel and Hardy, it is amazing to see that their humor went across borders. Of course, there was no language or simply just a few words. They were modern clowns with a kind of humor that was mostly visual.

Today, many artists have great comedy acts that play in circuses, theaters and of course on events worldwide. They are not called clowns anymore as they would be solely tagged as circus performers instead they are now called characters.

These characters are complete artists full of ideas and inspirations. They will come up with hilarious ideas that will entertain your clients for the whole night.
You have a multitude of characters or visual comedy entertainment available. All have their own touch of craziness that will relax the atmosphere such as the Collins, the Big Show, Crazy Mike, Bubble man and many others.

So please, next time you plan your event, think twice before choosing all your acts. Try to incorporate one comedy act to entertain people. Remember that laugh is also important.
