Reed records increase in participants for 2014 event
The confirmed participation of 100 national and global suppliers at IBTM India – to be held in Chennai this September – is highlighting the growth of the country’s business events market.
A ‘Euromonitor Passport Flows Inbound and Outbound India’ report showed that in 2012, MICE and business travel accounted for 32 percent of all outbound travel, totalling 4.9 million trips. This is projected to increase by an estimated 62 percent in 2017. Conversely, the segment accounted for 41 percent of all inbound travel totalling 2.9 million trips and is set to increase by an estimated 73 percent in 2017
Confirmed attendees for IBTM this year include the World Council of Young Doctors and Health Administrators (Russia), Provident Capital Group (Hong Kong), ICO Kongress Organisation (Germany), BIT Congress (China), Alhamrani Group of Companies (Saudi Arabia), who join a range of Indian organisations including Deloitte Shared Services India, Global Cynergies, Omraaga Corporate Services, EBEAM Solutions and International Academy of Periodontology.
