In the past, magic was often considered an art accessory acrobats performing "close-up between courses at a dinner to entertain the guests. This image is now gone.

Since ten years, the magic is in full swing.

Each number from 7 to 12 minutes, the subject of a writing or a story based on a realscenario.

Monte Carlo was part of this movement under the leadership of Princess GraceTheatre in establishing there nineteen years a festival of magic: "The Monte-CarloMagic Stars".

This annual event embodies the best young talent of illusion.

Birth Festival

This event was born in 1985 under the auspices of HSH The Sovereign Prince of Monaco, became a key event recognized by all major professional Magic worldwide.Its purpose is to defend the art of magic and make it better known to the general public.

More than 150 attractions paraded on stage at the Princess Grace Theatre among them with the most prestigious names in World of Magic: Jeff McBride, Vito Lupo,Dani Lary, Richard Ross, Paul Daniels, Ali Bongo, The Pendragon, Borra GregFrewin, Marc Anthony, Topper Martyn, Rudy Coby, Joe Labero Otto Wesseley, Myrand Myroska, Thierry and Sandrine Bouglione ...

The concept of Monte Carlo Magic Stars

The first part of the show is a competition involving five wizards of different nationalities and representing the various categories of magic follows : general magic,manipulation, grand illusions, comedy magic, ... competiting for the award of first prize,the magic wand of gold and the second prize, silver wand.

A jury chaired by HSH Princess Stephanie is composed of international personalities from the entertainment world chooses the winners. In addition, "Special Prizes"are awarded on favorites. The competition was mainly aimed to discover young talents by offering them the opportunity to win professional contracts and ensure their future.

In addition, a panel of five young people at school in Monaco credits his favorite magician sculpture "magic-comedy" made exclusively by the brilliant artist KeesVerkade.

The second part is composed of benefits experienced magicians that make great night of great institutions of varieties of music hall in the world, also represent the different disciplines of Magic and come from different countries.

Alongside the show itself, atmosphere "magic" is created throughout the building the Princess Grace Theatre to immerse the audience in an atmosphere of unreality and fantasy.
